¡Saludos! Pan American Sisters,

Our 60th State Convention recently took place in McAllen, it's theme incorporated “The Beauty of the Rio Grande Valley” which described the many facets of our border hospitality. The 135 members, 10 international members and guests enjoyed local cuisine, entertainment and a live band during the Gala festivities.

After 2 years of Covid quarantining, this convention provided a much needed opportunity to rekindle friendships, appreciate life, and reaffirm our Pan American goals. Without a doubt, it was a very successful convention in honor of our outgoing State Director, Martha M. Stumbo. We thank her wholeheartedly for keeping us together these past three years!

I would like to express my gratitude to Mariella Gorena, Raquel Oliva; Convention Co-Chairs, along with the Edinburg, Alamo-San Juan-Pharr, Rio Grande City-Roma, San Benito, Brownsville 1, and the McAllen Tables' for their dedication and efforts to provide all with wonderful memories!

Foremost, I'd like to thank you again for your vote of confidence in electing me as your new State Director. I am committed to serving each and every one of you for the next two years. I also look forward to visiting each of your tables in the near future.

Con Cariño,

Margot Arevalo-Gonzalez

MARGARET "PEGGY" LASATER CLARK

Our beloved Peggy passed away on August 23, 2022 at her home at La Mota Ranch in Falfurrius, Texas.

Peggy joined the Pan American Round Table of Corpus Christi in 1974. She served as our table director from 1991 - 1993. In 1997 Peggy was elected as Texas State Director at the 48th State Convention by the Corpus Christi table. In 2006 she was elected as Director General of the Alliance of Pan American Round Tables at their 30th Convention also hosted here in Corpus Christi.

Her kind and intelligent leadership is an inspiration to us all and her legacy as an involved and informed Pan American Woman is a true gift to our table. We were privileged to have her as an active member for 48 years.

A graveside service for family will be held at the Falfurrias Burial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Later that morning, ALL ARE INVITED to a lunch and celebration of Peggy's life at their home in Falfurrias at La Mota Ranch from noon to 3:00 p.m.

2020 Protocol Manual - Updated

The Pan American Round Table (PART) is a nonprofit woman's organization with member Tables at the local, state, and international levels. PARTT is the Texas state-level organization, with members in twenty Texas cities. As stated in our constitution, the object of this organization is to foster mutual understanding, knowledge, and friendship among the peoples of the Western Hemisphere. PART of Texas and local PART Tables award annual scholarships as a principal means of accomplishing these objectives.
The PARTT website provides a platform for sharing current and archived documents of general interest to all Tables, and to develop a convenient method for the exchange of State and Table scholarship information. The website also includes a history of the PART organization found in archived documents from the early formation of PARTT in the 1900s to 2019, a complete collection of Panamericana Texanas (the organization's publication), State and local scholarship details, convention registration information, reports and programs, and a listing of State and Alliance Board of Directors.
